This kit bolts securely to the chassis—no welding required—and is built from welded steel for strength and precise fit. The design spreads towing force evenly across the frame to minimize stress on the suspension. It’s physically tested to gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) standards for dependable performance mile after mile.
The high-gloss black powder coat isn’t just for looks—it’s co-cured in a rust-resistant liquid Bonderite coating that helps the steel stand up to weather and road grime. This dual-layer finish gives long-term protection against corrosion so your setup keeps performing and looking good.
Already have a Blue Ox tow bar? You can keep it. This base plate connects directly without any adapter needed, making it easy to reuse your current setup. The kit also includes safety cables and installation hardware, so you have what you need for a secure connection right out of the box.

Base Plates mounted on my 2022 Ford Bronco is holding up 100. Great quality finish that has not rusted. I have seen base plates from other companies being installed on Broncos and they are making major modifications. Not my Curt Custom Base Plates. An easy DYI with no major modifications. We have towed our Bronco 13,000 miles behind our Class A and its a flawless tow. These base plates were also priced much better then other brands. Thank you Etrailer!
